We are proud to be sponsoring Max Coates British Touring Car Driver in combination with one of our customers Primex Plastics Limited. Please see details below from the press release.
Max Coates has been announced as the final driver for British Touring Car Championship (BTCC)team Ciceley Motorsports first season in the Renault UK Clio Cup.
The North Yorkshire based driver has experience in a number of classes in the BTCC having driven in the Ginetta Junior Championship, Ginetta GT Supercup, Porsche Carrera Cup GB and the BTCC itself. At the tender age of 22 Coates will be oldest driver in the team as he joins 17 year old Dan Zelos and 18 year old Ollie Pidgley.
Coates will get his first drive of the 4th Generation Renault Clio Cup car on Friday at Croft’s official TOCA test and is looking forward to the season ahead. “I’m ecstatic to be joining Ciceley Motorsport for their first season in the Renault UK Clio Cup. We’ve known the team for a long time and since they joined the BTCC they have always been the team I wanted to join, so to be doing that now is great. It’s my first time racing a front wheel drive car but I’m used to adapting to different cars in a short space of time. I’m looking forward to getting out in the car and seeing what it can do.
“I’m delighted to continue my relationship with Primex Plastics Limited and welcome PLASgran Recycling on-board as a new sponsor. I’m looking forward to finalising deals with other partners that we are currently in discussion with. Whilst we have the budget to compete in the championship for the full season we would welcome the opportunity to discuss options with other partners which will help us to increase our testing programme.”
